SmashZone Visits Worldwide Day of Play in D.C.

More than 55,000 people participated in the biggest celebration of active play in the eight-year history of Nickelodeon's annual Worldwide Day of Play (WWDOP) on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C. At the event, USTA featured its interactive SmashZone tennis area that includes four kid-sized courts.

USTA Offers Funding for 10 and Under Lines on Clay

Clay court lines for 10 and Under Tennis have recently been approved by the USTA for partial funding, similar to the current blended lines for hard courts. The new lines, developed by Har-Tru Sports, can be put down in minutes to mark 36- and 60-foot courts on clay.
